After our dog became very ill, I purchased the SpotBot to clean her messes. I was immediately impressed because it dealt with all the spots without a problem. I also tackled my cat rebelling and peeing and pooping downstairs – got everything, no sweat. What finally pushed me to write a review was tackling some old stains in my daughter’s room that had been there when we moved in. I was shocked to find the SpotBot could get those too. WELL worth the money.

This thing works as advertised, is SO easy to use and clean, and is a machine that makes cleaning actually FUN. Seriously. Your kids will love cleaning for you!

As well, the way to empty this and clean the “dirty” chamber is as good of an engineering job as I’ve ever seen. Easy, fast, and as someone else mentioned, you can return this thing to like new condition in about 30 seconds because of how easy it is to clean the chambers.

My ONLY beef is that the cleaning solutions are waaay too expensive; however, this thing does such a good job that PLAIN HOT WATER (probably distilled would be best) would probably work just as well…

This was purchased as an emergency replacement for the Dirt Devil spot scrubber (or whatever it’s called) which was bought as an emergency replacement for the Bissell Little Green Machine. Of the three, the Green Machine proved to be impossible to repair when the hose started to leak and impossible to fully clean the dirty water tank. The Dirt Devil unit was half the price, had a FAR more powerful motor, and did a better job until it died, and I couldn’t find a replacement. It also suffered from an uncleanable dirty water tank, so there was this lovely Eau de Septic Tank smell whenever you fired them up.
So now to the spotbot. The unattended cleaning feature is cool, but it goes through a truckload of solution in a very short period of time, usually around three or four cycles. Once it’s done its thing though, you’ll also want to go over the little crop-circle it created with the hose attachment because of the volume of solution it leaves in the carpet. The suction is not great, the least powerful of the three. Yet another piece of eventually disposable Chinese-made cheapo crap. “Blue Illusion” indeed. It’ll make your green disappear, too.
